Richard Mackenzie Associate Professor with over twenty years of experience of working in the area of human metabolism. He is internationally recognised for his research and clinical work around human metabolism, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and elite athletic performance. Richard prioritises understanding an individual’s fundamental metabolism to inform a structured intervention to provide long lasting improvements in metabolic health, weight / fat loss, obesity risk and diabetes prevention. Richard takes mostly a preventive approach to health, drawing on, when appropriate, those experts around him to improve his patients’ outcomes. Dr Mackenzie has a great number of years working with elite and semi elite athletes, helping them train effectively to improve performance and avoid mild and chronic fatigue.
